ALTA Awarded DIA Contract

Atlanta, GA – The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) contracted ALTA Language Services, Inc. (ALTA) to develop reading and listening tests that would serve to assess proficiency on the ILR (Interagency Language Roundtable) scale, as well as to provide diagnostic feedback which will be used in recruitment, training, and other efforts.

ALTA will develop Arabic, Mandarin, Farsi, and Dari reading and listening comprehension assessments for the DIA over the course of one year. When asked to comment, the VP of Language Testing and Training, Chris Roosevelt said, “We are pleased that the DIA chose ALTA to complete their first ever outsourcing of tests, and view it as recognition of our broad capabilities in test development.”
